Screwy Weather; Trailer; Town Topic

Man…the weather is ridiculous. Last week tornadoes and big-ass hail; now there’s a chance of a little snow coming to the area again! Just.Stop.It. I’ve got things to do and snow is an unacceptable addition to that list.

I have been getting some things done at least. I got some mowing done in the areas I didn’t mow last year. I did some more tree trimming and cutting. After that I picked up the various brush piles and made two trips back to the woods to dump.

I have noticed the leaves in the yard are now blowing on through the yard a bit easier. Trimming the lower branches on the cedars will also help even more plus I think the extra air circulation will help keep the front yard from staying so wet. I still have some more trees to take down and some bushes to remove. That will really help get some airflow.

I have plenty more things I keep discovering that need done. I had to fix a piece of trim in one of the windows, and I need to re-caulk some of the windows. I have to buy some spray foam to seal up some areas to keep bugs out.

The freezing temperatures are still keeping me from getting the trailer water system drained, sanitized and flushed. It’s frustrating because when I have things to do (except mowing grass) I usually like to get those things off my list and out of the way.

But, at least everything else is packed up and ready to go. A few things I removed will save weight and space. I got the stabilizer jacks greased up last week but when I get a decent calm day I will look into painting them to keep them protected from rust.

Last weekend Dave & Lori picked me up and we went to Town Topic in KC for a burger.

We went to the one on Broadway. There are two others, with one of those being just a few blocks away…yeah, just like Starbucks does. The place was full. It’s not big to begin with and only seats about a dozen butts so when people are standing waiting to order or pick up their order it’s pretty crowded.

I got a cheeseburger with mustard & onions and an order of tater tots. Classic items from a classic restaurant. They were delicious, but that burger was the star of the meal.

That’s it for this post. See you next time.
