I got up and after it this morning to take care of a few things around the house. I needed to do a few small repairs and spent a little while in the basement looking around for parts I could use. I found everything I needed to do what I wanted to do.
I also was kind of taking stock of stuff down there that’s going away to the transfer station and other stuff for donation. It’s going to be a lot of work but I’ll get it done.

Next was winterizing the trailer. I was not going to do this yet but decided that since it goes in next Friday I went ahead and took care of it. The forecast is calling for some below-freezing weather and I was not going to take it over to drop it off without it being winterized.
The Scotty was a pain to winterize. Newer trailers have a winterizing port to pump RV antifreeze directly into the water lines and faucets without having to put it in the tank and pump it through the entire system. The only thing you have to do is shut the valves to the water heater so the antifreeze doesn’t get in it. It won’t hurt anything but it doesn’t need to go in there.
I’m anxious to get it back and do a few more local trips. Dave and Lori want to get out at least once more before storing their trailer until Spring. I plan to still get out as much as I can.

I got my crispy chicken taco fix for lunch and afterwards I got my flautas/taquitos put together and frozen. I ended up with a dozen. They are small – about the size you get in the freezer section at the store – so there’s not much meat in them (perfect for my limited diet). I still have more chicken in the freezer and could probably get another 12-18 out of that so those should last a while. I’ll end up making breakfast taquitos this coming week and I still have to make my strawberry oat bars.
I’ll be firing up the Ooni pizza oven and doing a pizza pretty soon. I have enough dough and interesting ingredients to even do a little experimenting with maybe a calzone, some pizza pockets or maybe even some homemade pizza rolls. I have a lot of different things I can use for toppings – sun-dried tomatoes, prosciutto, pineapple, fresh mozzarella, olive oil and more. I even have lamb koefta and feta in the freezer. That would be an interesting pizza.

One last thing to do was rehanging the curtains in the living room and dining room. I put up some different curtain rod holders so they are not only easier to slide but also I wanted to get them raised up and off the floor. They are much better now.

I took the dogs outside in the back yard a few nights back. I had left the curtains open and the TV on since it was just a quick trip outside. Rider happened to look in the window and saw a man on the TV through the window. He started barking and would not stop, thinking a burglar was in the house! I had to take him inside and show him everything was cool.

That’s it for now. Thanks for stopping by.
