Ahhh…a much better night’s sleep last night. Woke up refreshed and rested.
I got up for my usual leisurely start to the day and had an espresso and some tea before cooking up breakfast. The dogs were glad to get out, stretch and do what dogs do first thing in the morning.
I fired up the griddle and made up some home fries and a breakfast sandwich for all of us. It takes a bit more work and time trying to cook outside on a cool day.
We ate outside but it started out as another cool morning. The weather was off and on all day; a few sprinkles here and there and clouds with cool temps.
After that Dave & I ran a few errands. We got back and hung out at the picnic table, catching up on life. It was good to have time to just sit and leisurely chat & catch up.
After that it was dinner time and they made up fajitas. Oh man…very tasty. I have not had fajitas in a long, long time and it was a real treat…let alone with some sour cream. They even brought some delicious home-made salsa!
Dave & Lori had brought a granddaughter and her friend. The kids took off to walk around and us big people sat around talking after dinner. The girls got back and they had brought a package of cookie dough to bake some cookies so we ended up baking them in my oven – first use!
We chatted some more and called it a night. I went back to my trailer and am typing up this blog entry before going to bed.
Tomorrow they head back home. As for me? I am just not sure yet. Think I’ll go check out the road atlas, and the weather report, to see where I am going – if anywhere.
I guess we’ll all find out tomorrow about where that is!
Until then…
Shawn
