This year Mother’s Day will be a bit of a difficult holiday this year for me, as all of them will be. It seems to me the first holiday after losing someone close is the toughest. None of them are easy, but the first year has to be the hardest.

On this particular day we pay homage to our mothers. I am lucky to have had the parents I have had, and I am always conscious of my good fortune in that part of life.

To my mom – you may be gone but you are not forgotten. Your strength, encouragement, and support of me are always with me and I miss you greatly. The world was a better place with you in it.

I’ll be celebrating your day in the trailer, thinking of you and living life fully… just as you always did.
