I gave up on the Google Pixel; I am sticking with iPhone.

I gave it two weeks and decided it was really not for me. I don’t like to dick around with settings, software and inner workings at all. I just want things to work out of the box, and honestly that is what Apple has always been so damn good at. I also do very little customizing of my screens -pretty much not much more than a couple of wallpapers and a few widgets. It is a tool for me to do the things I need to do, remember, find, etc. I really don’t care much what it looks like.

I tried and it did not work out – so be it. It now makes me rethink what I want to do about a travel phone. I am getting rid of my Apple Watch Ultra 1 and M1 iPad Pro so I will probably use my 15 Pro Max for travel on its own account and use the trade in cash from Apple for a new iPhone for everyday. That adds up to a tidy sum to put down and make a new phone cheap to buy.

The weather had been really nice until a couple of days ago and some typical mountain showers moved in. Brought back memories of those little daily showers on all those camping trips to Colorado.

It is still sometimes unbelievable I am finally back in some mountains. I always look at the mountains and feel like I am hime again. A little salt water would be a great addition.

Well, Tuesday I go in for another kidney stone surgery. I cannot wait to get this thing removed from my body. But…it won’t be so simple. Of course.

Altogether, I have to have two surgeries in the next two weeks before we are done with this nonsense. I am very anxious to get the stone and hardware out of my body. It does not feel right and it is uncomfortable. I cannot WAIT to do it for two more weeks. I will be back out exploring and hiking soon.

With the kidney stone things are kind of on hold as far as getting around exploring. But, the next two surgeries should be much better since the next one is to remove the stone with a ✌🏼 laser ✌🏼.

It’s been three-plus years since I last got a haircut. Today I got a haircut and went back to being the Short-haired Bald Guy. I figured this was a good time to do it with the weather getting warmer.

That is about all the excitement I can muster up for now. We’ll see what this weekend brings, though.
