April 28th, 2024 – Crowder State Park, Trenton, MO

It was a sleepless night last night, brought on by frequent thunder & lightning. The dogs slept through it but I sure couldn’t.

I got the dogs taken care of and then started putting a few things away to leave. Dave came over for an espresso so we talked over coffee. He left for breakfast so I had my breakfast then finished getting the trailer ready to go.

I went ahead and hitched it up so all I would have to do is turn the key and pull away. After that was done I went over to hang out with my friends a little before we left.

I decided to go ahead & take off. I had to hit the dump station to drain the waste tanks and wanted to beat the rush to get that done. I also wanted to get an early start on the road home.

We said our “see ya” and I left as they were beginning their own preparations to leave. They had full hookups so no dump station line for them.

It was a good weekend overall. We got to get in some talking and hanging out, but it would have been nice to be able to sit outside. We did get to hang out outdoors yesterday with the nicer weather, but no enjoying an evening campfire.

After an uneventful two hour drive back it was time for unpacking the things that needed to come out of the trailer. Getting things finished up now means it’s done.

See you next time!

Shawn
