Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

There are many times I have been on a stage.

I’ve played guitar, bass, and sang onstage a few times. This was for school programs, in bands I played in, or even during band sound check playing with the band while on the road with The Statler Brothers as the lighting person.

I have had to go out onstage more than once while artists were onstage performing. I have had to run out and replace microphone cables in the middle of a show in front of a keyboard player. Another time I had to run out to fix a cymbal stand on a drum kit, standing between the drums and the lead singer of Quiet Riot back in their heyday.

Another “stage” I was on was that I was a radio DJ in Colorado for a local radio station for 3-4 years. I have also done some public speaking.

I never did any of this for any glory – there were always more than enough posers hanging around backstage. I just happened to have a great jobs that I loved and was doing what I was paid to do.
