What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?
After all the recent years of working early mornings, I normally don’t sleep in very late. But, even though I’m retired I still set an alarm for 6:00 AM on weekdays.
I like to get up early to have a leisurely start to my day with a morning cup or two of rooibos tea, a shot of espresso (yeah, I started drinking coffee again but just one espresso shot), take care of the dogs, and think about what I might do that day. It’s a nice, quiet start to the day.
I also like to get things done and get them out of the way. If I focus on getting things done early then it frees up the rest of the day for fun or maybe even not sweating bullets because it’s hot AF. I used to procrastinate and nothing ever got done but, well…nothing ever got done. That’s not the case these days.
These are simple things, but very rewarding and satisfying.
