I am living in a regular house once again. The trailer has been put away for a bit and I am sitting at a breakfast bar in the kitchen typing this. It’s nowhere nearly as small as the trailer. It is not as big as the last place but the views are pretty nice and it is dark and quiet. The dog has room to stretch out anywhere he pretty much wants to.

Since I don’t have anything here I had to take stuff out of the trailer to use for cooking and cleaning; there are some things in here so I think I can actually get by without buying much. I really would hate to do that since I have everything need (and more) in storage. Except glasses. I will need to get some drinking glasses.

It was a beautiful sunny day today. Short sleeves all day, but I was also busy off-loading the trailer into the house and I was on the go all day after waking up with a raging headache. Haven’t had one of those in a while, don’t care to do it again for even longer. Finally got through it, though, but got a later start than I wanted but once I got rolling I didn’t stop until I found a place for most everything.

I have to grab some supplies in the next day or two so I am gonna stock up on some food while I am at it. A pot of chili is on the meal plan, maybe some chicken and dumplings (both great for cooler weather), maybe some burritos. Once I get ahead on the meal prep a bit I need to dig into my recipes and start cooking again for real. I want to try and do a cottage pie. I want to make sausage rolls and hand pies too; both fruit and savory meat pies. When I can get my kitchen stuff I will be hitting the Instant Pot to make up some of those recipes I have, but for now I have a porcelain Dutch oven I can use for slow cooking.

I also have to get over to the storage unit to clean it out in the next few days too. I don’t have much stuff in there but I need to get it cleaned out. It’s pretty expensive to get storage here and I don’t want to spend more money than I need to on that; it seems like such a waste. If I have to get another one at some point then that’s what I’ll have to do but I am really trying to avoid doing that. Maybe what I should do is after I unpack stuff I should just sell the storage tubs that I don’t need. They take up so much room and I could get some of my money back out of them. If I need more I will just have to buy them.

I think I will wrap this up for today. It’s still early, but I am gonna start winding down. Might even have a full-size shower for a change. That’ll be awesome!
