I finally bought a wake-up light alarm clock made by Phillips. I have been intrigued by the thinking behind it. I’ve been looking at them for a while and found this one on sale so I snagged one. I set it last night to experiment with and completely forgot to set my regular alarm on my phone.
It wakes you up slowly by lighting up your room with a gradually increasing light – mine goes from dark to all the way on over a thirty minute time period. It is supposed to slowly and gently wake you up. I plan on setting it while off work this winter so I can keep a more constant light and sleep schedule, and I do not plan on using a regular alarm. With even shorter days coming up soon it is very easy to sleep WAAAY late. I don’t wanna do that.
I also got a Spigen case for my Apple Watch. After about two weeks of wearing it I find it very useful and really use it quite a bit…probably even more than I thought I would. I wear it every day, have used the phone on it, and it has been very handy to check messages at work I am expecting. I was very interested in the health-related apps and have been motivated to use the Activity rings to stay moving through the day.
I’ve been working outside the last few days and it was nice to be out even in the cold and wind. Today was nicer weather and I got to run a mini-excavator part of the day. I haven’t run one in a while so I was a bit rusty, but it was a good day and I started getting my chops back pretty quickly.
