Our work schedule is finally going back to what the real world calls “weekends off”…that is working the traditional Monday through Friday. This was my last weekend day for the season and I am ready for the change.

You know after all the years of working odd days and odd hours it doesn’t really matter too much, but it will be nice to have traditional weekends off so I will be able to meet up with some friends.

Used to be those of us working anything other than a traditional shift were the few, but it is quite the common occurrence nowadays. As long as I have two (or three) days off together I’m good. Before you know it, I’ll be off for the season and I’ll have plenty of time to do what I want.

So for now, it’s back to someone else’s version of normalcy. I’m kinda looking forward to the change.
