Even though I have a blog I do believe in privacy and safety; just like my blog posts I will limit what I put in these pages and sometimes not in real time.

I also want to say that everything I write is ME writing it without any help from AI. I have never used AI writing tools for any posts, and have never even tried But I will just to see what comes out. Admittedly I AM curious about it, but if AI writes it that means that I’m not. That just isn’t right to me. I also post photos that are “clean”…no filters are applied during or after taking the pictures. I want to remember what I actually saw.

I started this blog in 2012 so family and friends could keep up with what was going on in my life. Others along the way have found it and, after nearly ten years, I have gained several followers along the way – something I never imagined. Thank you all so much for reading!

I am single and retired. I have two Aussies; a male named Rider and a female named Rumor. They both love to travel as much as I do.

I love road trips, European/foreign travel, trying new foods, and having new experiences. I have been to 47 states and 9 countries. Heart attack/triple bypass surgery survivor. I am not on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok but so far I have started posting on Tumblr under journey-and-destinationdotcom.

I travel affordably when I travel; doing so means you can go more often. It’s not all about the luxury hotels (which I am not against!); rather, it is about the experiences big and small no matter how or where you travel.
