I am finally getting settled in and getting caught up on some personal business along with getting some relaxation in. It has been rainy and cloudy with some snow dropping to just above where I am. There was a fresh dusting of snow on down the mountains, and I heard there is more coming to the higher elevations. In the picture above you can see how little snow there is, and I am pretty far north; the new snow just looks like a dusting and actually goes up past where the bottom of the sun is shining.
Now that I am checking things off of my To Do list it is time to start exploring & having some fun. I have been getting acquainted with Kalispell; I have been here before but not really spent much time (basically passing through), and I am sure it is much different than it was when I was here.
I know one time I was through here was on September 13th, 2012 when I was moving to Washington – the beginning of this blog. I had driven north to Whitefish before heading towards Banff National Park in Canada. What an adventure that trip was. You oughta go have a look at those posts. You know you wanna.
One thing I have seen that I thought is a great idea was something in a highway construction zone. They change out the reflectors to orange to make it obvious you are in a construction zone. What a great idea.

Tomorrow it is more wandering around Kalispell. It is the weekend so I imagine it will be busy. It has been a while since I have lived in a tourist area so I cannot imagine how bad it gets with what I have seen so far. I still need to get some new clothes but I really hate shopping. Even though I need things I just don’t like shopping. Getting groceries is different but I don’t mind going to get groceries since I won’t spend a lot of time there – not like buying clothes. I still need to do it though.
With all the places to see & things to do around here I will be out & about exploring those places very soon. I usually avoid touristy places, but sometimes there are things I want to see so I go during the week and usually not in summer.
The pace is slowing and with the personal business being finished up I am able to relax more and am looking forward to this chapter.
We’ll see you next time.
Shawn
