The buyers had their appraisal today. I do not foresee any issues so all that is left now is signing the closing papers, which my realtor said I can do my part a few days early and can leave since my funds will be a direct deposit.
I am getting both a little more excited and a little bit more anxious as I posted a few days ago. Staying busy has helped a little with that, and the little bit of trip planning I have done so far has gotten me excited for what’s ahead.
I took the scrap over today instead of tomorrow and I am now $42.75 richer. It is only about 6 miles away so $3 worth of fuel and I am still about $40 better off. Not bad for minimal work (and not much stuff) and they were very helpful with this rookie. I should have taken more of the other metal, but oh well. It is all cleaned up and I am moving.
Right now I am about six days ahead of schedule so I will move some of next week’s to-dos earlier to get everything done as early as possible. There is a chance of some snow Sunday so I want to make sure I am done driving in the yard Saturday. Septic goes in Monday but they should fix any ruts.
Since I have some extra time I will replenish the firewood supply on the porch for the next few days. Some may find it strange to have a fire when it is 55 outside, but your furnace runs when it is 55…why not have a fire? Before I leave I will load up the stove for them and have it ready to go their first night.
Thinking about it more, I am probably smart to work ahead in case they want to close and take possession early.
That’s all for now.
Shawn
