There are numerous websites with various travel hacks. Many of the things I have seen are BS and have no value for enhancing your travels. I have found a few that are worth mentioning that I use myself and one in particular has been handy on several trips.
I went to a discount tool store and got some cheap plastic clips that are used to clamp small things together. You can also use binder clips as well, or even a couple of wood clothespins.
These items are very handy for a few things. First thing for me was clipping curtains together. I need a room as dark as possible or I cannot sleep. The clips are great for taking care of that issue.
The second thing is it seems as though many hotels cannot hire people who know how to install shower curtain rods – those arched ones that give you more elbow room. They almost always are installed slanted downwards and the curtain will not stay shut, getting the floor (and anything on it) wet. The plastic clips I use have rubber grips in the tips and are great for that as they stay dry.
I have also seen articles that some people don’t carry a wallet; they use a binder clip as a money clip and I guess you could use that for curtains as well. I would worry about that metal binder clip wearing through my pockets. I prefer to use a slim RFID wallet daily to protect myself and keep everything together.
Just a quick post after this weekend’s adventure. Maybe this will help you on your travels!
