Road trip!!!

Today I decided to go on an adventure. I NEEDED to get out and go somewhere…ANYWHERE. I was not sure where to go, but I finally got a destination in mind as I left the house in the minivan.

I actually ended up stopping someplace else along the way that I had never been to before and it was an easier day trip. It was windy and pretty cool but I had a coat and gloves. The waves were huge and you could really “feel” the power of the Pacific Ocean standing there seeing and hearing it all happen. Being a weekday, and some schools are still in session, it was not too busy. It was busy enough for me since I am not much for crowds.

It was good to get out and try to decompress. This road trip today was pretty good, but I need to go farther for longer. I don’t want to stay in a hotel and I want to be gone for several days. The original destination is still someplace I want to go so I will get there soon.

With vacation season upon us it’s going to be a bit tough finding spots to stay the next few months unless I make a reservation or go farther away. As much as I don’t want to, I think I’m going to need to start doing reservations here in Washington or even Oregon.

Getting out today and seeing a new (to me) place was just what I needed. The last six years life has had its ups and downs, and the downs have been pretty low. Now that the heart attack happened and the bypass taken care of I am ready to get after it!

So it was a short adventure today…but it was still an adventure!
