FFS…ever since the damn time change I just cannot sleep very good. I don’t know what the issue is, but I decided I needed to make a drastic change; I am going to turn off my daily 06:00 alarm. I am going to just wake up when I wake up, which will be around 07:30 so still acceptable, and if I don’t wake up well, then, an alarm would not help much anyhoo. I have had trouble going to bed at a decent time but I do go to sleep within two minutes or so – I am just not getting rested through the night.
It has certainly made a difference in the mornings. My body is on Mountain Standard Time now and that is fine – gonna be that way soon anyhoo. I woke up at 7:30 when my sleep schedule kicks off and my watch goes back to normal daily operations. But it did not wake me up – did it all on my own.

I had another showing scheduled for today but my realtor called to let me know the lady had to cancel due to a family emergency. I talked to him about the new price we are at and what he thinks and he said we are okay for now.
Remember in the last post I wrote how I felt this weird positive vibe when we lowered the price? When I got the email to set up the showing I felt really positive about this last showing for some weird reason. My realtor also said that this lady will probably submit an offer after she sees it! He said it is the kind of thing she is looking for – something to fix up and make her own. It’s exciting for me alright, but I will be relieved only when it is all done.

I decided to take a walk back to the back of my land and get a little exercise. I have been driving back there to get firewood so the grass is knocked down pretty well. This is a relief – I can finally get some walking in. I walked back, made a loop back to the front and out to the mailbox. I will get a measurement on that so I can get a good amount of distance/steps in each walk. Right before my heart attack I walked 10+ miles a day usually and I really enjoyed it. This was when I lived in Washington state. I would go to a different spot 3-4 times a day every day and walk.
I have some arthritis in my knees and have been sitting way too much; my knees are pissed off in a big way. They really hurt so I gotta get around more than I have been and get some steps in. The weather is good so that is a bonus.
I just cannot let this get worse. It was pretty painful to walk first thing this morning but once I got up and around it got better fast. When I did that lap to the back they felt good so it won’t take long to get things calmed back down. I need to keep the walking up for my heart and so I can walk for hours during my travels.
I will definitely be doing more hikes in Europe; Ireland has been talked about already but there are places to walk/hike all over the planet so why not hike everywhere AND walk in the cities? I need to get into good shape and stay there. (I have been trying to get in touch with a local gym franchise to ask questions but no luck yet. I am looking at them due to traveling plans.)
I am going to get some collapsible hiking poles for travel since I plan to hike more when I fly someplace. I really like using hiking poles when I hike. It helps with stability, walking rhythm, and leverage up or down a hill plus they can be useful in an emergency.
That is about it for tonight. Pretty excited to hear that about the house today. Hoping something happens!
See ya next time.
Shawn
