I decided to get in the trailer and do some more consolidation of some things. Needless to say, my two shadows had to help in their own way.
I did get three bins of stuff consolidated into one container so that is less physical space taken up and it is pretty noticeable. After that I just kinda kicked back with the dogs and watched a little TV since I don’t have one in the house.
When my parents had the Scotty trailer parked in the driveway, it became my mom’s “playhouse”. She would go out there and hang out, doing puzzles or genealogy stuff on the laptop. It was her space. I guess that’s what I was doing. With the house being empty it’s nice to have something different to do.
Today I looked to see if the space under the dinette benches was usable but it isn’t; one side has the inverter behind the drawer and the other side has the plumbing for the outdoor shower behind the drawer. It is looking like I will not be able to store canned goods in there. I do have another spot on the bunkhouse storage floor so that will be fine. I was really hoping I could make use of the space under the dinette booths.
I really need to get underneath the trailer and take the stabilizer jacks off of the trailer. They are really rusty and need painted with the paint that I already bought. I couldn’t do it when I bought it because I was injured but now I can so I’m gonna need to work on that when it’s a bit warmer. I think tomorrow is supposed to be decent so maybe I can paint them then. Hopefully they will unbolt and come off easily. I don’t really want to paint them on there for fear of the black overspray getting all over my white trailer.
Having an RV can be a lot of work. They are made with flimsy materials to save weight. You always have to maintain various things on them every year. Yeah, it is a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of freedom. Campgrounds can get expensive but if you’re smart and resourceful, you can stay places for free or cheap. Much cheaper than a hotel.

Propane for the house is getting low so tomorrow I will be checking into getting a partial fill. Since I am selling the house & am no longer a contract customer I have to get that scheduled. I have a list of other things to get out & do tomorrow since I had doctor & lab appointments in Kansas City this morning.
I decided to cut up some firewood early afternoon and got the house warmed up nicely. The dogs are loving sprawling out in front of the fire. Last night they decided they wanted to be warm so this is how that worked:

I was trapped and couldn’t move! I was laying on my side when they jumped up and plopped down against me. I didn’t have time to move or get settled in. They didn’t stay too long and got down. I don’t let them sleep with me. Rider sneaks up in the night at some point because I wake up and he’s curled up against me with his head on the pillow.

No more showings yet but I think after the holidays things will start to get busy. I’m just kind of sitting and waiting and that’s getting old fast. I may have to get the trailer out camping so the dogs and I can get a change of scenery. There’s plenty of places close by. I can clean before I leave and it will stay clean; otherwise I have to vacuum the dog hair up daily.
If we go camping I’ll have to let the dogs sleep in the trailer since it’s too cold for them to sleep in the truck. Not excited about that because of the hair & dander in the trailer.
Hmmm…just thought of something…dog dander could be called “danderruff”!
That’s a quick update for now. Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog!
