Today we walked around checking out more new places. In front of Amsterdam Centraal there was a protest happening about the genocide in Gaza. I find it is always interesting to stop and see these things for a few minutes when you happen to see them going on. We were sightseeing so we watched from afar for a few minutes then went on our way.

We hopped on a tram and while heading elsewhere we ended up at the Rijksmuseum so we checked out the gardens. It was a nice day and we took some time to sit a bit and enjoy the scenery and peacefulness.

We crossed the street and strolled along a canal. We wanted to check out a neighborhood famous for its nightlife; ironically this was the very same neighborhood we stayed in when we were here in 2018!

We ended up at an Irish pub for an Irish coffee and a pint. We had a 20-30 minute walk back to our hotel and it was really busy for a late Sunday afternoon.
It was time to kick back in our room for a few. We decided to go do some laundry to stay ahead on clean clothes. The laundrette was conveniently located a couple doors down from our hotel, bit of which we were in in 2020.
It does pay to stay somewhere familiar to have these added benefits. The other thing is it costs money to stay farther away in a cheaper place away from the action. There are transportation costs, and also your time is money. Stay in the city center and use your time to have fun instead of traveling to a hotel outside of the city.
After dropping off our laundry we hit the streets. Amsterdam at night is so beautiful.

And, of course, FEBO was just to the left of this picture!
We got back to the hotel to pack up as much as we could then we could finally kick back. Tomorrow is a big travel day so after being out exploring all day a little rest was good.
Oh…who am I kidding. I just can’t sit in a hotel in Europe when I can walk around a city! I went back out to see a bit more nighttime in Amsterdam. Plus I had to go to FEBO again. And again. It was a really beautiful evening to be out. A little cool, but actually quite pleasant weather. It is our last hotel night in Amsterdam so I will stay out as late as I can enjoying this.
Now, it is time to sleep. See you in the morning!
